Dr. Kathryn Foster featured on Buffalo Niagara Partnership's 2010 Economic Forecast Video

What should a forward-looking business know about Buffalo Niagara to thrive in years ahead?

Dr. Kathryn A. Foster, director of the UB Regional Institute, is featured along with other prominent regional leaders in the Buffalo Niagara Partnership's 2010 Economic Forecast video to inform regional businesses on opportunities and challenges ahead. She suggests that foward-looking businesses leverage several demographic and economic regional trends:

"We should worry less about the young twentysomethings – they are rolling stones at this life stage – and more about two other cohorts: the early-career households putting down roots and the near-retirement crowd deciding “do I stay or do I go?”

"There are over 80,000 households in Western New York earning over $100,000 and another 70,000 in Southern Ontario. That’s investment potential."

These points are expanded upon with data and analysis in a special brief developed by the UB Regional Institute.
