Joining UBRI in 2017, first as a Graduate Assistant and transitioning to full-time staff in 2018, Brendan lends his expertise in communication and data analysis to green infrastructure, economic development, climate planning, neighborhood development, transportation, and equity projects.
Brendan started his career in digital marketing in the WNY area, but after moving to the City of Buffalo, began to realign his career with his desire to make WNY a more equitable place and contribute to the betterment of the region. Brendan volunteered his social media management skills at Belmont Housing Resources for WNY, and was hired as a housing specialist to work with housing choice voucher recipients in Erie County. While pursuing his Master’s degree at the University at Buffalo, Brendan was a graduate assistant for the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, where he fostered his interest in housing editing books on European estates.
Brendan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication (2013) and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning (2018), both from the University at Buffalo. He received awards in Academic Excellence (2017), Excellence in Service to the Department of Urban and Regional Planning (2018), Best Professional Report (2018), and was part of the team that won the WNY APA Outstanding Student Project Award (2018).
