Foundation Giving in Erie and Niagara Counties

The Western New York Grantmakers Association commissioned the institute to assess how foundation dollars are distributed in the region. The institute developed a profile of giving by 150 of the most active foundations in the eight counties of Western New York. This one-year snapshot of giving by the region’s philanthropic community is intended to decipher patterns in giving across recipient sectors, grant size and the geographic distribution of grants.
