Niagara National Heritage Area Study
The National Park Service conducted this study, with the help of the Urban Design Project, to determine whether to give National Heritage Area status to the area around Niagara Falls.
The Urban Design Project provided mapping of the area, the natural resources, cultural resources, and power generation resources. We worked to identify area cultural initiatives, communicating with the media about the project, and constructing a mailing list to keep the public informed about the study. We organized and facilitated public meetings to involve the community in the process.
